About Rock-n-Rogers
Rock-N-Rogers was founded in 1987 in Salem, Oregon.
From the beginning, our concept centered on offering
excellent food and service in a fun atmosphere from a
different time and place-the 1950s.
The Old Fashioned 1950s family diner theme evokes a
commitment to qualities now lost over the decades by
most restaurants. Founded by Roger Hawley, it remains a family owned and operated business.
Today a second family generation manages three locations; two in Salem,
Oregon and one in Plano, Texas. For the Plano location, owner Jamie Hawley scoured flea
markets and antique stores to give the restaurant its distinctive feel.
Hawley said in 1987 his father, original owner Roger Hawley, set
out to open a family-oriented restaurant that would hearken back
to a bygone era to recreate the memories from his childhood.
"His mind was of a memorable time and they were just coming
off of war-torn years; it was a prosperous time and a very
innocent time period."
Given the pressures people have today, in this atmosphere you
can come in and immediately leave your worries at the doorstep,
and that's what we're trying to create. The kids can
pick up the hula hoops by the jukebox while the parents can watch one of the dozen large screen TVs."
Our menu features traditional diner fare spanning all three day parts, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We are well known for homemade breakfasts, and delightful dinner entrees,
our signature burgers and classic shakes served from the mixer tin.
"In addition to good food and family fun, we are committed to our community," says Hawley. "It's hard to find a friendly,
family owned restaurant amidst all the big chains and fast food places. We've been raising our own family in this area and we want to
give back to our community." That's why Rock-n-Rogers is so committed to it's community fundraising opportunities. "We really want churches,
schools, and youth sports leagues to see Rock-n-Rogers as their gathering place." For each group fundraising night that is booked,
Rock-n-Rogers will give 20% of its proceeds back to that group.
